Bracknell is a town in Berkshire that is located 11 miles to the southeast of Reading and has a population of over 52,000 people.

Bracknell is currently undergoing a significant regeneration. The plans were submitted and rejected first time round, but after the council tried a second attempt they were successful. Unfortunately the year was 2008 and the following global credit crises meant that the £750 million plans were postponed.

In 2011 a Waitrose opened in the town, signifying the start of the regeneration. Demolition of the northern part of the town began in 2013 and it is expected that construction of new shops, restaurants and a cinema will begin soon. The plans also include 1000 new homes, a new police station and new bus stations.

The town has attracted high-tech communities such as Panasonic, Dell, Hewlett-Packard and Fujitsu. The town is also the home to the head office of Waitrose and the headquarters of BMW group.
