Exhibition power is notorious. You’re often charged hundreds per day, per socket—and that’s usually capped at a modest wattage. For small stands that just need to run a screen, a few lights, and laptop chargers, a large battery power station (think Anker-style “battery generator”) can be a smarter, quieter, and often cheaper alternative.

Outdoor evening event setup featuring AV equipment cases and trolley stands outside a venue, with ambient lighting.

At AVE Services, we supply and manage battery distribution for exhibitions and events—including optional battery UPS (uninterruptible power supply) setups—so your kit stays on even if the venue has hiccups. And when the show closes, the battery recharges in about an hour back at your hotel, office, or accommodation, ready for the next day.

Portable power station with multiple UK outlets and USB ports, ideal for providing power at outdoor events and live productions.

Why Use a Battery at an Exhibition?

  • Avoid venue power costs: Skip the pricey per-socket fee for low-draw stands.

  • No noise, no fumes: Unlike fuel generators, battery generators are silent and indoor-safe.

  • Fast turnarounds: Hot-swap units or recharge in ~1 hour off-site.

  • UPS capability: Protect screens and laptops from brief power dips.

  • Cable-light stands: Reduce trailing leads and simplify your layout.

Our Preferred Model: Anker SOLIX F2000 (+ BP2000 Expansion)

We standardise on the Anker SOLIX F2000 (PowerHouse 767) for small-to-medium exhibition stands:

  • Energy capacity (base): 2,048Wh

  • With BP2000 expansion: 4,096Wh total

  • High AC output (UK): up to ~6,000W for short bursts and robust continuous loads typical of small stands

  • Rapid charging: 0–80% in roughly an hour for the base unit (expect longer when filling both base + expansion)

These figures give plenty of headroom for exhibition screens, LED lighting, laptops, media players, and signage controllers.

Portable power station with sockets and display, ideal for outdoor events and AV equipment support. Includes charging cable.

What Can a Battery Safely Power?

Perfect for small to medium booth setups:

Not suitable for: video walls, high-power catering kit, electric heaters, power tools, or anything with big surge currents. If in doubt, ask us to check the wattage and inrush.

Realistic Runtimes with F2000 / F2000 + BP2000

To avoid overpromising, we plan on ~85% usable energy to account for inverter overheads and sensible reserve.

  • Usable F2000:1,740Wh

  • Usable F2000 + BP2000:3,480Wh

  • Runtime (hrs) ≈ usable_Wh ÷ load_W

Device / Load (typical) Approx. Power F2000 (≈1,740Wh) F2000 + BP2000 (≈3,480Wh)
43″ exhibition screen (med brightness) 70–100 W ~17–25 h ~35–50 h
55″ exhibition screen (med brightness) 100–150 W ~12–17 h ~23–35 h
LED light bar (x2) 20–40 W ~43–87 h ~87–174 h
Laptop + phone charging 30–60 W ~29–58 h ~58–116 h
Mixed small stand (screen + lights + laptop) 160–220 W ~8–11 h ~16–22 h

Tip: For an 8–10 hour show day, a single F2000 usually covers a typical small stand. If your continuous draw is closer to ~200W or you’d like more buffer, add the BP2000 expansion.

Charging, Swaps & UPS Mode

  • Rapid top-up: The base F2000 charges from 0–80% in around 1 hour.

  • Full recharge & expansions: Filling the base + BP2000 takes longer on the same wall supply—plan overnight charging or a mid-day swap.

  • UPS configuration: We can set the battery as a UPS so brief venue brownouts don’t reboot your screens or media players.

  • Smart rotation: For continuous all-day power, we can schedule a mid-day swap or deploy two units and rotate during quiet periods.

Compliance & Venue Considerations

  • Most venues approve battery power because it’s silent and emissions-free.

  • We keep wiring tidy, use PAT-tested accessories, and label loads clearly.

  • If you also order venue mains (e.g., for a back-up socket), we’ll help you blend sources and use the battery as a UPS.

FAQ

For small stands, yes—often comfortably. For heavier setups or very long days, we’ll plan a swap or suggest a small venue supply plus battery UPS.

The base unit reaches 0–80% in about an hour. With the BP2000 attached, total energy doubles, so plan overnight charging or mid-day swaps.

Yes. Battery power stations are effectively silent.

Units are indoor-rated, with multiple protections and certified components. We manage placement and ventilation per best practice.
