Oundle School’s SciTec Unveiling with AVE Services

We were proud to provide unveiling curtains for Oundle School as HRH The Duke of Gloucester officially opened the school’s latest SciTec development.

First launched in 2007, SciTec is an award-winning, ground-breaking complex that now houses 16 state-of-the-art laboratories. This new phase brings science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) under one roof, putting practical, hands-on learning at the centre of the student experience—bridging theory with real-world application, from pure science to working prototypes in fields such as nanotechnology and mechatronics.

Head of Oundle School, Sarah Kerr-Dineen, said the vision is about creating the best possible learning environment and nurturing the intellectual passion of teachers and pupils alike. She emphasised that bright children learn by making connections; these facilities unite science, mathematics, design, technology and engineering both philosophically and physically, inspiring students to join the dots and become the engineers, inventors and innovators of the future.

The expanded and refurbished design and technology department retains Oundle’s renowned “large projects” space and now includes two design studios for virtual modelling and prototype development, acoustically separated from practical workshops. With notable former pupils including evolutionary biologist Professor Richard Dawkins and astronomer and space scientist Dr Roger Malina, Oundle’s SciTec continues to place the school at the forefront of the UK’s drive to develop top-tier scientists and engineers.

From discreet installation to a smooth ceremony finish, our team ensured the unveiling moment looked and felt special—precisely timed, beautifully presented, and perfect for the occasion.

If you’re planning a plaque or building opening, we can help you stage a standout unveiling moment.
