AVE Supports the Launch of BASE Bordon Innovation Centre

AVE Services was proud to provide the audio visual equipment and event production support for the grand opening of the BASE Bordon Innovation Centre — an iconic space reinvented for a new generation of entrepreneurs. This launch is part of a £50 million regeneration project of the former army garrison in East Hampshire.

The centre occupies the historic Broxhead House, once the Officers’ Mess for Louisburg Barracks in Bordon. In its community area, visitors can admire a display of officers’ caps — a fitting nod to the site’s military past.

Creating the Right Setup

Already home to 12 businesses, the former Officers’ Mess has been transformed into:

  • 34 fully serviced offices
  • Co-working spaces
  • A business lounge
  • Meeting rooms

Our team supplied sound systems, microphones and projectors to ensure the launch presentations and speeches were heard and seen clearly. We also provided lighting to enhance the look and feel of the event space.

Delivered in Partnership

The project was delivered by Homes England and supported by Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and East Hampshire District Council. The launch event brought together over 80 guests from both private and public sectors.

BASE is managed on behalf of Homes England by Oxford Innovation, which operates over 20 Innovation Centres across the UK — including Portsmouth Technopole, Fareham Innovation Centre, and Ocean Village Innovation Centre in Southampton.

A commemorative plaque was unveiled by Kevin Bourner, General Manager – SW Region, Homes England, and Dr Michael Short CBE, Chairman of Enterprise M3 LEP and Chief Scientific Adviser to the Department for International Trade.
